This article was evaluating the resent cuts to funding on international projects and partnerships. This was mainly looked a specific project that was working with Vietnam and business sector. It introduced the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), which was meant to examine different areas of Vietnam’s business conditions, economic governance and administrative reform efforts at the provincial level. To best find the businesses best course action and foster best environment to keep a businesses alive. There was comments on whether or not the funding for these current projects will come back, or if there will be new funding for new projects will come back.
This was very interesting article to read due to the complex topic and timing of it. It showcased the variety of implications the funding cuts that are happening. Also, showcasing that these cuts are not just effecting the university(s) but their partners as well.

This article is apart of a series that the Chronicle does called “Blue Devil of the Week” it is designed to highlight an athlete of the students choosing. This weeks chose was a female tennis player, Ellie Coleman. She is very successful player within her sport. Having many different wins under her belt including a recent win against a school which Duke has not won against 2011, Chapel Hill, N.C. Another aspect of this article was at the end showcasing a little bit information about the student herself, like her go to meal before a match, favorite song, and so on.
