Article 1 – Durham City Council rejects contentious rezoning request, passes Vision Zero Action Plan – https://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2025/04/duke-university-city-council-rejects-annexation-ordinance-sheffeild-farms-concerns-over-environment-impact-affordable-housing

This article was about a city council and a rezoning request made by developers. This was analyzing whether or not to rezone the annex 218.5 acres of Sheffield Farms into the City of Durham. This is claimed to create 702 residential homes. The developers claim that they would be environmentally contagious, which is one the main concerns of citizens. Even with this promise, there is no telling what this will do to the city environment. Another aspect of the push back is the lack of room within the school distract, the district is at 121.5% capacity. With these new homes this would only put more strain on the school system.

Another aspects of this article was a plan that a unanimous vote for the Vision Zero Action Plan. This plan focuses on the public health in public transpiration. The main aspect of this plan is to stop traffic death, which was pledge in 2017.

Article 2 – Natasha Bedingfield to headline 2025 LDOC concert, along with performances by Penelope Road and Rich The Kid – https://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2025/04/duke-university-last-day-of-classes-artist-reveal-natasha-bedingfield-rich-the-kid-penelope-road

This article was giving an overview on what Duke’s Last Day of Classes concert (LDOC). This was mostly dicusses the singers and their style of music. The headliner of the concert is Natasha Bedingfield, with Rich The Kid (Dimitri Leslie Roger) and Penelope Road. Each of these singers have a fairly well known music industry tracks. With Bedingfield have several songs and albums over her own, one them being her album and song Unwritten. Also, looking at her past career work as well, she was apart of a Christian “dance/electronic group” The DNA Algorithm alongside two of her siblings. Rich The Kid is a rapper and song-writer who has his own wrap of credentials. He has worked with Kendrick Lamar, Drake, among others. Then finally, Penelope Road, a band from Atlanta with a 70s rock and funk sound that will be different bug good for their concert.
